These rich and ancient stories are full of interesting characters and events that hold a place within our cultures. The wisdom and moral lessons conveyed through the Old Testament stories provide wonderful imaginations from which to create meaningful main lessons, whether those are in Language Arts or Math main lesson blocks.

These stories are told in the same spirit in which stories from other cultural traditions are told, with no intention to convert or change anyone's religious or spiritual beliefs or practices. Like the Norse Myths that are told in fourth grade, and the stories of many ancient cultures of the fifth grade curriculum, the Old Testament stories are a wonderful collection of cultural wisdom to be experienced and appreciated, whether or not one's beliefs are part of any Judeo-Christian system.
